La propuesta investigadora presentada en esta Tesis se enmarca dentro de un amplio plan educativo para la enseñanza de ELE mediatizado por las obras de la literatura como instrumento didáctico. La hipótesis central que subyace al estudio empírico consiste en que el uso del texto literario como recurso didáctico con una orientación comunicativa e integradora –en el sentido de atender a las distintas competencias, conocimientos y destrezas que conforman el dominio de la lengua– favorece positivamente al aprendizaje global de esta por parte de los aprendices. El origen de dicha propuesta se encuentra en el uso deficiente que de este valioso corpus de lengua se hace en las aulas de enseñanza de español y la necesidad de lograr la plena inclusión de los textos literarios en los manuales, programas y planes de clase del español LE, así como su didactización para el aula de idiomas.

The research proposal presented in this Thesis is framed within a broad educational plan for the teaching of SFL mediated by the works of literature as a didactic tool. The central hypothesis underlying the empirical study is that the use of the literary text as a didactic resource with a communicative and integrative orientation -in the sense of attending to the different competences, knowledge and skills that make up the mastery of the language- positively favors the apprentices’ global learning of the latter. The origin of this proposal is found in the deficient use of this valuable language corpus in the Spanish teaching classrooms and the need to achieve the full inclusion of literary texts in manuals, programs and class plans of Spanish FL, as well as their didactization for the language classroom.
