[ES] El objetivo general de la tesis fue describir las demandas físicas, técnicas, tácticas y psicofisiológicas de la competición del tenis en silla de ruedas (TSR) y observar las diferencias entre género, superficie y entre ganadores y perdedores. Se grabaron y analizaron partidos de TSR masculinos y femeninos para determinar la estructura temporal. Se registraron y analizaron las estadísticas de competición de los Juegos Paralímpicos y de tres torneos internacionales jugados en diferentes superficies. Se controló la frecuencia cardiaca, el lactato sanguíneo y la percepción subjetiva de esfuerzo durante el partido. Los resultados de la Tesis muestran: a) diferencias en la estructura temporal entre género; b) la superficie tiene una incidencia directa con las demandas físicas y técnicas de los jugadores; c) existen diferencias entre los ganadores y perdedores en las estadísticas de competición; y, d) las demandas psicofisiológicas son 66.31 %FCmax, 1.41 mmol·L-1 y 12.45 en la escala RPE.

[EN] The global aim of the thesis was to describe the physical, technical, tactical, and psychophysiological demands of WT competition and to observe the differences between gender, surfaces, and between winners and losers. WT matches of male and female players were filmed with the aim of assessing activity patterns. Match statistics of Paralympic Games and three Grand Slams played on different surfaces were collected. Heart rates, blood lactate concentration, and ratings of perceived exertion were measured during matches. The results of the thesis regarding show: differences between men’s and women’s matches in activity patterns; b) surface affects the players’ physical and technical demands; c) there are differences in match statistics between winning and losing players; d) the physiological load during the matches are 66.31 %HRmax, 1.41 mmol·L-1 and 12.45 on the RPE scale.
