[ES]Estudio intertextual (o, según la terminología utilizada, transtextual) de la presencia de textos y elementos de cultura y sociedad españolas en la obra dramática de James Shirley. Después de delimitar el corpus a estudiar y dotarnos de una metodología operativa, basada en la quíntuple distinción de Genette (paratexto, metatexto, intertexto, hipertexto y architexto), a la que se añade la de sociotexto, se procede a analizar exhaustivamente el corpus, mostrando la posible presencia de convenciones paratextuales, elementos intertextuales (alusiones) y la inexistencia de referencias metatextuales o críticas. En el plano hipertextual, se revisan las relaciones hasta ahora llamadas de "influencia", se confirman varias de ellas, se descartan otras y se proponen dos nuevas de carácter dramático. En el campo sociotextual, se recopilan las menciones de elementos españoles de carácter linguístico, de cultura material, etc., proponiendo una teoría acerca del alcance y funcionalidad de los mismos.

[ENG]Intertextual study (or, according with the terminology used, transtextual) of the presence of Spanish texts, elements of culture, and society James Shirley We start by delimiting the corpus of study and equipping ourselves with a suitable and operative methodology, based on the five-fold distinction by Genette (paratext, metatext, intertext, hypertext, and architext). Then we add the further category of sociotext and proceed to analyze Shirley’s dramatic corpus, showing the possible presence of paratextual conventions, intertextual elements and the absence of metatextual (critical) references. At the hypertextual level, the traditionally so-called relationships of “influence” are revised, confirming some of them, ruling out others and proposing two new ones. In the sociotextual domain, there is a thorough compilation of all the mentions to Spansih elements be they linguistic, of material culture, etc., proposing a general hypotheis about their scope and functionality.
