dc.description.abstract
El objetivo principal de esta Tesis fue valorar la interferencia que produce la Enfermedad Renal Crónica en el funcionamiento cotidiano del paciente en hemodiálisis. Para ello se han realizado cuatro estudios. Que valoran la Calidad de Vida Relacionada con la Salud (CVRS), la prevalencia de distintos tipos de síntomas somáticos y la sensibilidad al dolor. También se ha analizado la influencia de las variables psicológicas y sociales, sobre la CVRS y los síntomas somáticos. Asimismo, se ha comparado la influencia relativa de los síntomas somáticos y el estado de ánimo sobre la CVRS. Los resultados de los estudios tienen claras implicaciones clínicas, respecto a los aspectos en los que debe orientarse la intervención psicológica, destinada a mejorar la CVRS, y disminuir la sintomatología, además del dolor en los pacientes en hemodiálisis

The main objective of this thesis was to evaluate the interference produced by chronic renal disease in the daily functioning of the patient on hemodialysis. For this purpose, four studies have been carried out. That value the Quality of Life Related to Health (HRQOL), the prevalence of different types of somatic symptoms and sensitivity to pain. We have also analyzed the influence of psychological and social variables on HRQOL and somatic symptoms. Likewise, the relative influence of somatic symptoms and mood on HRQOL has been compared. The results of the studies have clear clinical implications, regarding the aspects in which the psychological intervention should be oriented, aimed at improving the HRQOL, and decrease the symptomatology, in addition to the pain in patients on hemodialysis
